Rector’s Message

Jakarta Global University (JGU) is an evolvement of Jakarta Institute of Technology & Health (ITKJ), a move that aligns itself with the demands of 21st century higher education. JGU brings with it a 48-year involvement in higher education and its merger with the School of Economics Science Sukabumi ignites a formidable transformation which was well received and officially endorsed by the Ministry of Education & Culture on 10th July 2020. Today, the institution is proud of its over fifteen-thousand alumni base who are engaged in the various sectors of industry across Indonesia.

Jakarta Global University is a reflection of our vision and mission of being a global university that transforms lives for an enriching future. The completion of our new purposely-built modern campus facility in Depok, will complement existing campuses in Jatiwaringin and Cibitung. Enriching JGU’s internationaisation efforts are its collaborative programmes with its international partners, among them are the Management & Science University (MSU), Malaysia; Josai International University (JIU), Japan; Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT), Ireland; Wuxi Institute of Technology (WXIT), China.

Quality and excellence are two of the main pillars at JGU. We embrace the culture of excellence through imparting compelling learning experiences to our students. Upon graduation, our graduates are work-ready and they are equipped with the required soft-skills . Our focus at developing academic strength and soft-skills acquisition among students reflect our efforts at generating professionals with an entrepreneurial mind-set.
